I started out this post with pictures about math workshop and reading and all of the many parts of our day, but then when I uploaded these pictures I decided they would be the only ones I share for now (I promise to share the others next post!) because they are so special to me and bring to mind so many thoughts at this time of year!
First, I cannot believe that we have just a little over two school weeks left in Kindergarten. Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday it was the first day of school and kids were crying, not so sure about this thing called Kindergarten and Mrs. John. :) Then, blink and here we are in nearly June. We are walking ourselves into school, smiling, reading, writing, enjoying friendships, exploring our environment, and so much more. What a year it has been!
Second, thank you for your trust in me and your collaboration with me this year as we both worked together to make Kindergarten the best possible experience for your child. I truly care so much about each of them and the unique person that they are.
Third, I am so proud of every one of the Kindergarteners! While I know they are so ready to go to first grade, it will still be a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye! The last days of school are always an interesting experience. I always feel quite emotional because we have grown so close as a classroom family, but yet there are celebrations as well for the journey to come!
The good news is I will be up at the Bay View campus next year, so hopefully I will get to see their smiling faces on their first day of 1st grade! Maybe they can help out my brand new Kindergarteners and teach them the ropes. :)
More pictures and posts will come later! Have a wonderful weekend.
