Time has flown!

Welcome to our last full week in Kindergarten. WOW how time has flown! Since last week I only shared a group photo along with some memories, this week I wanted to share more pictures from this month! A bit random, but it gives you a peek into our day!

Math workshop has been fun lately! They love this addition game using real shells! You roll the dice, use the shells to help you add, and then record the answer. What was funny was, even though they loved the shells, I had several of them say "Hey! I already know this, I don't even need the shells!"  :) That shows that they are internalizing those math facts!

This is a fun game too! You roll the dice and add the "spots" on the ladybug to form an equation.

This is a "bee-fore" (bee themed) and after game. This is actually tricky for us sometimes, especially when it comes to identifying the numbers before certain numbers. You roll the jumbo paper dice, and then you have to record the number that is one before, and the number that is one after!

Partner math games are always a hit!

We had some proud partners excited to show that they completed a game!

During our center time this week, we had a "zoo" created for us! All of the stuffed animals and book characters had to go live in it. My favorite is that bear over there in the corner just hanging out with his legs crossed.  :)

The building continues....

Partner reading! We spend most of our reading time with self selected or "good fit" (books we can independently read) but we still love to practice new phonics patterns with partners, and it is great to build our fluency and cooperation with one another!

We are looking forward to a great week! Can't believe it is our last full one!
