Happy Spring Break!

Happy Spring Break! Thank you so much for being part of our Spring Learning Celebration! It was so great to see the kindergartners sharing their learning! They are truly learning so much all the time and I am very proud of all of their hard work!

Just a few quick pics to share from our half day before the break! Half days can be a bit tricky - kindergartners are definitely creatures of habit, so a different schedule can really throw them off!  :) So we embrace half days and do things a bit differently than normal sometimes!

Today we did some inquiry into butterflies and read non-fiction texts about Monarchs. Then we did a fun color by number.
I have to say - although at first glance one may think "color by number - that's easy and just coloring" I am here to tell you that most of us could not do this type of activity in September! To track the numbers, READ the color words, and color neatly is a process, and the fact that they all completed this with NO help from me is awesome!!!    :)

We also partnered up and did some spring time addition to get us in the mood for Spring Break!

And then.....drumroll..... I brought out the shaving cream for the first time! They LOVED it. Can you tell by their faces??
Shaving cream is a great way to practice writing sight words, letters, numbers, etc in a fun way! While it looks quiet messy, it actually cleans the surface of our tables and comes off of them super easy! Clean up was a breeze - although it may not look like it in these pictures.   :)

Happy Spring Break! See you soon!
