Field Trip Fun!

We had a blast at the Children's Museum! We learned a ton about force and motion in our "Topsy Turvey" class, and then had tons of fun exploring the museum with our friends.

Excuse the poor pictures - hard to capture them in all the movement, and I forgot my good camera at home, so this is the best I could do.  :)  Hopefully it still gives you an idea of our time there!

They had tons of fun balls and ramps to explore. We have done similar experiments in class this spring, but the materials they have here are awesome!

This water area was a hit! So many levers to pull and things to try to make the water move. I wish we had one at school (with plenty of aprons to keep us dry)  :)

The rooftop playground was probably the biggest hit of all - everyone wanted to be up there! The sun even came out for us, which was great to see.

Here we are exploring sound a little bit.

Digging up "fossils" on the rooftop playground too!

We explored tons of different tops in our class - the instructor was great and we loved the centers we rotated through. It all fit perfectly with what our current science unit has been in school.

We even got to design some of our own tops!

I am sorry I didn't get a group photo - I wish I had! I tried to capture what I could, but hopefully your child told you more about it.

On the way back to school, several kids said "this is the BEST day of kindergarten!" So - I think that means it was a hit.  :)

We are looking forward to a wonderful last few weeks! My, how time has flown.
